I weigh 215 lbs and the spring didn't spring at all when I plopped into the chair. so I'm guessing unless you are 300+ lbs or more you'll get no springing action either.This was perfect. Bought to hang a wicker swing.Great item- order two for a porch swing. Provides that bit of give needed to alleviate stress on chain/swing system & provide a bit of comfort.Excellent product, smooth transaction- would buy again.
